Week 3

“A History of Psychology: A Global Perspective (Shiraer), “how it relates to Early Psychology.

The book “A History of Psychology: A Global Perspective (Shiraer),” has introduced some different periods that involved psychology. Through these I have learned more about early psychology. It brought to light one question tome that caught my eye. “The history of psychology is the study of psychology’s past. But how can we study it (Shiraer 1.)?”It sounds so simple but it makes sense. We can’t study it because it’s already happened, but with laboratories such as was influenced by Wundt; we can compare variables from the past and see how to make adjustments for the future.

I have always used the internet as well as books from library to preform research. Since class I have been introduced to book.google.com, and I have found that it’s really helpful. Although some don’t have full copies of the book, if I enter in my search in different ways I can come up with different books. This giving me much more books to do research from.

Through making my search deeper, I was hoping to get more early psychology information.  By gathering as much as I can, I can filter through it and see what I want to use. By filling it into the gaps in my topic. This will give me something to prove that Wundt’s making of laboratories has changed the outcome on today’s psychology.
