My name is
Angela, I am thirty-five years old. Right now I’m pursuing my degree in
Psychology, through Brandman University. Although, this is only my second term
at Brandman, I have transferred from another college in Maryland. Through my
degree in Psychology, I am anticipating a great career in helping others and a
securing a job that will benefit my family.
I find the
process of the mind and social aspects interesting. Through this; I believe if
we follow what interests us we will be very happy with our careers, whatever
they may be. In regards to that, I’m looking forward to understanding the mind and
how it functions. While applying what I’ve been taught, to people and helping
them recover or adapt. This could benefit our country as a whole.
Through a career in psychology there are
also benefits for my family. This being from financial support, on my part. My
husband has been active duty Army for twenty one years and provided for our
family. Also being open minded of what has happened with him, in regards to
deployments. Now it’s his turn to relax, while I work. Another plus, is that it
has helped me understand how people think and reevaluate the things I do.
Excepting that we are all different.
Research is so
influential in many areas of study, and I see how it is important to
developments in Psychology. Through such researchers like Freud, Maslow, Piaget
we find out what is developing. From people like Freud, we have starting point
of theories that give us points to do research off of. This in return, will
give us a basis to start narrowing or redefining our research that can adapt to
this day in age.
I am really
looking forward to improving my research skills and make sure they are
creditable, concise, and up to date. When making sure that these three things
fall into place it can always make your research more creditable. One day
someone maybe citing you, and you want it’s going to make a lasting impression
on you. So there for I want it to be accurate, in hopes that it will help
someone or lead to an improvement in Behavioral Health.
